The members of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club (ACD Club) welcome all visitors to the “Home of the Classics”, Auburn, Indiana. Auburn was headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Co., which produced three of the most elegant cars in American history; the Auburn, the Cord, and the Duesenberg. This year marks the 54th time the ACD Club has returned for the Labor Day weekend reunion.
Where else in America can one view over 300 classic cars driving around the local streets; observe the judging of these cars in the park; talk to the owners of these cars (don’t be shy- they like to talk about their cars!); and view a good old-fashioned parade on Saturday afternoon? This year the Club is honoring the Cord L-29 as “Car of the Year.” Over 5000 units of this front-wheeled drive car were produced here in Auburn from 1929 to 1932. Sadly, fewer than 200 remain. You will be able to see many of these rare and beautiful cars this week.
On behalf of the ACD Club’s Board of Directors, I ask that you take full advantage of all the activities this week, and return, as we do, year after year.
